Tomorrow marks the start of the Holy Grail of Randonee events, Paris Brest Paris (PBP), the 1200km, 90-hour tour from Saint-Quentin-en-Yvelines, to the Atlantic coast and back. The event, first run in 1891, is the oldest organized cycling event in the world.
Try getting in the spirit of the event and read these interesting accounts of the PBP experience from the American perspective; Tandem riders Robin and Amy, Philadelphia Randonneur Adrian Hands and Portland’s own bike messenger Joel Metz, who’s gone back for more glory at this year’s event (go Joel!).
