Newsweek is running this story, reprinting a letter in its entirety from Larry Johnson—a former CIA officer–blasting Tenet for his failure to take responsibility for his role in pre-war intelligence falsifications. Mr Johnson’s letter, first appearing on his blog here, rightly decries Tenet’s complicity in the Administration’s selective use of intelligence to drum up support for an Iraqi invasion.

Juicy stuff. Although Tenet should be credited for his attempts to warn Rice of imminent terrorist attacks just weeks before 9/11, his subsequent waffling on the issue of pre-war Iraq intelligence continues to point up the chain of command to the principal perpetrators. How quickly will this all shake out? If the mainstream media turns on them, everything will come crashing down quickly for this Administration.
