I was actually ashamed when I read of the remarks by Ann Coulter at the Conservative Political Action Conference this past Friday. Just how is it that this type of speech can be condoned at a high profile party event with the likes of Rudy Giuliani, Mitt Romney, and our sitting Vice President attending?

“This is not about a single comment or isolated remark. The more Ann Coulter says these things, the more popular she becomes in this movement. What this is about is that she reflects exactly what sort of political movement this is. She reflects its true impulses and core beliefs…” -Glenn Greenwald

Read Greenwald’s editorial take on hate mongers and the Coulter Cult of Personality at Salon.com.

If this seems too improbable to be true, here’s the video link to the actual remarks.

Update: Fallout.
